nVidia 6200 turbocache overclocking pci-e

Thread Starter
My 6200 turbocache runs at 350mhz core and 500mhz memory clock speeds.
Afer unlocking the clock frequency settings and using the detect optimal frequency settings, it boosted the clock speeds to 416mhz core and 636mhz memory. After applying these i looked at the temperature settings to make sure it was safe to run. At standing it is at 55 degrees C. and during gameplay it maxes at about 80 degrees C. These are not significant increases to the temperatures shown whilst at clock speeds so this is a useful boost to performance if you are using the nVidia 6200 turbocache.

But this is useless to me as i am getting an ATi x1900xt soon

I don't think this overclock works on all 6200's so dont lay the liabilty on me. Try it out but be sure to check the temperature whilst doing so. Ask me if you need any help with how to unlock the clock frequency settings on the nvidia display options.

Well the turbo cache cards arnt always the best due to the fact they use your system RAM for there turbocahce feature.

Anyways you will want to keep that card under 80c if possible.
