finaly a solid replacement to my naga! i love logitech, but after having the original naga i just cannot go without the thumb buttons. has been so usefull for gaming.

These mice with all the buttons, gee, I use a grand total of two. One for a sensitivity drop when I snipe, and the other for a quickswitch. Love how simple my G9x is.

I can play MMO fine with 7-9 buttons mouse... 2 on the side of the mouse is enough for anything. Really..

I love logitech and am really looking forward to this mouse. I've used my g9x for years.

I tried a razer naga and it was okay but the build quality is terrible - my old naga had the dreaded "double click" bug that affects many users, and the finish on the mouse is too "glossy" and harder to grip well. I can't wait for this logitech mouse to be released, it will be mine.

I'd say 12 buttons on the side is helpful. Especially when you're into hardcore pve/pvp and you have to use multiple focus macros without overloading on shift modifiers.

With my WoW setup I have shift 1-7 bound, F1-F7 bound, and shift F1-F7 bound for various interrupt / focus interrupt / arena target / arenapartymember cleanse macros. It really does add up and I love having tons of buttons at my disposal, its much easier than reaching for shift F7 smile.gif

I love how the white one looks like a stormtrooper accessory.

If the side buttons are too stiff (like the Naga) then I'll pass, but if they're light enough not to make my thumb sore after a few hundred presses per hour it could end up being my main mouse.

I'm still betting on the Taipan though.

You're right there's a lack of good looking pink mice on the market. Got a pink Razor wireless bluetooth one for my girlfriend and it crapped out.
