Potalion 2710QW Monitor Club - Page 20

The camera makes it look a little yellow, but that's quite accurate when it comes to the brightness. I already sent an message to bcc, cause it's completely unacceptable.

If so, that means BCC is not checking the monitors properly, if at all....
Pixel perfect doesn't mean the backlight is perfect...

BCC's "pixel perfect" listings are supposed to be manually checked, gw. The list of stuff he says he checks for ends with backlight bleed testing.
It was a pixel perfect, and in that aspect the screen is flawless. I spent a while poring it over, but not one was dead.

I have a feeling he didn't properly check for bleed.

They're checked for that regardless of whether it's a pixel perfect model or not, and he explicitly qualifies it as a check for "serious" backlight bleed. I don't know what "serious" means in his terminology, but my original point still stands that pixel perfect =/=> backlight perfect.

See the solutions documented here in the thread. Or you can try a different model.

My monitor had minimal backlight bleed but had a stuck pixel. Correspondence with BCC has been less that optimal. He responds to my messages once per 24 hours...I'll immediately respond...and I will have to wait another day for his response.....I asked for an exchange, he stated what my options were....at this rate I will not have my replacement for at least two weeks. He has to pick mine up with DHL, inspect it, inspect a new pixel perfect, and send it out....plus his correspondence is slow. For those of you who did opt for an exchange with BCC - how did you repackage the monitor? Did DHL do it for you?

I plan to package it the exact same way it came in, complete with the bubble wrap coating, and then just bring it to the nearest DHL office and have them slap a sticker on it.

What options did he give you, if you don't mind me asking? I'm still waiting to hear back from him...
well the foam wrap for me is destroyed and the box it came in is a tad ripped. i doubt i could repackage it as it was originally....he gave me the options of an exchange or partial refund. i LOATHE screen imperfections, most of all dead/stuck pixels...my eyes always wander to them...so i opted for the exchange. i let him know the original packaging wasn't in the best condition and i may require a different box...i have yet to hear from him. im sure ill hear back at roughly 10 pm pst...and then will have to wait 24 hours for him to reply to my reply. sigh.
