You might need a new dvi cable.

I've reconnected it multiple times (different DVI port, too) and fastened it. I'll see if I can get my hands on another DVI-DL cable, would be useful to rule that out.

The up and down buttons adjust the brightness by the way.

You can get a dvi-d cable from BB.

Also, sent him the last batch of pics on Thursday, no response yet ...

Email him again. I sent a message twice when asking about shipping info. The second time he replied very quickly. My guess is that he's absolutely inundated with communications.

As long as it's dual link of course.
Anyone know what the side buttons do? Which one is which? I need to reduce the brightness, when it is dark in my room, THE SCREEN IS SCREAMING BRIGHT... I need to buy gunnars. Waiting on BestBuy or place (in Canada) to get Crystalline ones.
If you have the DVI input only model, then only 3 buttons are working. Power, brightness up and brightness down. Power should be obvious. Just press one of the other two until it maxes or minimizes the brightness. Easy.

I had the same experience with communication. First email they responded quickly now It has been 2 or 3 days and I havent heard anything from them. After spending some more time with the monitor I am pretty sure this monitor would have been excellent IF it had been packaged better. One layer of thin foam isn't going to cut it shipping across the world especially with DHL.

^Itwas good enough for mine. He has responded at intervals of 24 hours.I have found out that if you are in the U.S. and want a normal correspondence, you need to be up at 3Am to message. him. Doing it at this time he replied back almost instantly

Calibrated with a Spyder 3, I have my back light as close to 120 cd/m².
This profile is a baseline to tweak your panel further.
EVERY panel is different.
My panel also had a green push so I used HCFR and nvidia color control panel to perfect my colors.

This is nice except the Contrast is way to low, especially on OSX. It is best to calibrate it with a spyder.

Well, because you can't adjust directly from the monitor because of the absence of an OSD, I believe you can adjust the picture the GPU sends over the cable. How? I forgot. tongue.gif
