He's currently offering me a partial refund or a return and full refund. He's stated he's already spent over $300 USD shipping the monitor for me (I'm not sure I buy that).....but that's his fault. When I pay for 'pixel perfect'...i'm expecting you to spend 5 minutes to look for dead or stuck pixels before shipping - if you fee that you are willing to take a gamble by glancing over it, then that's the risk you should assume - you shouldn't assume I'd be happy not getting what I paid for. I'm going to see what kind of partial refund he gives. If it's substantial, perhaps I'll keep it. If not - does anyone know any other, solid re-salers that you would advise I go to for a Korean IPS monitor? At this point I'm thinking of going with Microcenter's EQD - it's more money, but at least I can quickly resolve any issue.

Well I spoke to BCC - he said I could get a partial refund ($125...that's quite generous) or I could return and get a full refund. What would you guys do? That stuck pixel looks more like a spec of dust than an actual stuck pixel, fyi. I think It's going to be hard turning down a $195 2560x1440 brand new monitor....for a spec of dust

Hi everyone !

i ordered my Potalion 2710QW from BCC , joined this forum to say thanks a lot for the info on here about this monitor you helped make my mind up , it really is fantastic !! ,i cannot see any dead or stuck pixels and no back-light bleed at all , how are you finding dead or stuck pixels ? i been to a few sites that show the whole screen as blue red or green black and white ,cannot see anything except lush full stunning color ,and the black screen when viewed in a pitch black room has the slightest light area in the bottom right corner ,but you need to look very hard to see it ,this monitor just rocks looking at the detail in my macro photos , is just crazy ! the colours out of the box look spot on to me with some tiny adjustments in nvidia control panel , thanks all !! i recommend BCC as a seller ! 3 days from Korea to the uk free shipping is just nuts !

heres my updated Nvidia settings if anyone is interested

Try a white background - many stuck pixels rear their heads in a white background.

Wow, what an amazing monitor, very glad I ordered it. I ordered the pixel perfect on Sunday from BCC and got it today (Tuesday). He marked it as a gift valued at $150, so I only had to pay $31 in customs/taxes (in Canada).

I don't see any stuck/dead pixels, but there's a bit of backlight bleed from the top middle-right and left top-middle. Thinking about opening it up and adding some extra screws as mentioned in the thread. Can anyone recommend the perfect-sized screws so I could try to reduce it a bit? Would be even better if I could order online somewhere to save me the time hunting around town.

Thanks to all those who recommended this monitor, I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get the chance to cleanup my desk. smile.gif

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/icc_profiles.htm

Well I used the U2711H (not the variety one) and I like the results. Image looks crispier and less greeny/bluey.

I would really like to see more profiles

Even if you check thoroughly, it's highly likely to miss a spec of dust.
I've had many clients bring monitors back, only to not able to find the defect when I ask them to, it happens, don't be so hard on the seller; especially one that is really trying to help you out here.
Imo you shouldnt buy anything from ebay with your personality, but that's solely my opinion.
