Proposed CPU loop: Thoughts?

I have a NH-D14, It's great, but I have problems with the rest of my current configuration. I have Antec Kuhler 620's on my 580's and the rads are both exhausting out the front. I Don't even close my side panel because the GPU temps rise & the air through the Antec Kuhler rad's diminishes.

I can't put a Kuhler rad in the top left because the NH-D14 is in the way. I can't put one on the top, also because the NH-D14 is in the way. My completely ghetto setup ATM has to go.

Does everything look right? Add a DDC Pump for $35 on top of that and we are looking at $328. Sizes correct? Good choices?

I'll always be F@H, Atleast on the CPU. ATM my temps are 70c,77c,78c,76c. This is my standard with my current OC of 4.6Ghz (2600k) @ 1.345v. What kind of temperature decrease do you all think I'm looking at with the proposed WC?

Thanks alot, & don't make fun of my MS Paint skills!!

why dont you move both the kuhlers rads to the rear since you have the space and put a fan in the front as a second intake. make the xspc an exhaust, so the fans blow hot air through then out the top, other than that you are fine. smile.gif

ps: you suck at MS Paint wink.gif

You should consider Koolance's RP-4XX series bay reservoirs.
I have the 401x2 (single 5.25" version)and its extremely well built (you could knock someone clean out with it lol). I also have the XSPC bay res that came with the kit and its quality doesn't even remotely approach the Koolance.

I'd like to thank iCrap, he helped me put together the above part list and has been putting up with my questions all day.

Dirty I'm checking it out, I'd like to do it right rather than do it twice, but I am already getting up there in the dollars. We'll see.

Birdman, Yeah I'm down, sound's good. I'll give it a shot, I've never been in the "always intake outside air through a rad!" club either. Just saw your ninja edit, 2 won't fit there, they are probably 25mm longer than 120mm, and after the 2 120mm spots there, I have no room because here comes the PCI brackets. I don't even think I'll be able to fit a 120mm fan under the 1 Kuhler 620 rad.

Cant you fit them sideways? so that the rad's barbs are facing your cases panel not up or down? that should make it fit. that is if you have enough clearance to close the case afterwards. tongue.gif

Pretty sure it won't fit.

Any more questions, comments, concerns? The Phobya 3/4" OD clamps may not sound right for the tubing but they are

What kind of better temps can I expect? Should I absolutely cut away some of my case on the top so none of the rad is blocked?

I'm considering cutting out the top of the Antec 1200 to where I can house a 360 rad. Is this worth it over the 240? The last thing I want to have happen is be dissapointed with my temps, If I'm only improving 8c or something it'll be quite a bummer. Hopefully I can get some more input so I'll feel more comfortable ordering this all early next week or so.

I doubt the difference would even be 5c in a CPU only loop (its only adding one more 120mm fan). However, you'll be able to get the same temps, as a 240, with lower speed (and thus quieter) fans.
