Your NB speed is not as relevant with BD as it was with Thuban/Deneb. You don't see the performance gains like you did with Thuban/Deneb. Stick to around 2600 and you will be fine.

If you do your homework you will find that NB speeds dont do as much for these chips as thuban/phenom2 nor do they hit 3000nb very often anyway.

I use 3GHZ NB 24/7 on my FX-4100 with 1.45v.

I did not see as much performance scaling as I did with my 1090T with 3GHZ nb, although I do get more bandwidth from higher RAM frequencies.
I hope they fix the cache latency in piledriver.

well i cant say for sure never overclocked a fx chip but drop your cpu down to 14x and your ram down to 1333 and only overclock the np start @ stock voltage then up the nb muti till windows dont load then up the voltage up two then see if window boots if so then kepp doing that with nb till you get stable @ 3000 or above...
i have the same board as you and i find it alot easyer to not use ofset voltage..

Excellent ive been trying to research as much as possible about this chip i want to thank you all for your prompt replies i am runing 2600 mhz at the moment ive mostly been trying to read and understand how cpu/nb works on this chip i understand what works on a thuban isnt gonna work the same on zambezi
another thing does hyper transfer play a role in preformance im not speaking of the fbs i think its the hyper transport link the one u dont really set higher than 2000 on thuban

Better image of mine (updated maxxmem shows proper nb speed).

I'll need to run some benches comparing HT Link frequencies.
Sandra 2012 seems to be the best bench program to accurately test the FX Chips against other chips, if you haven't used it already.
