Booting up without CPU installed. - Page 3

No mobo can boot without a CPU. Some of the mobos that are coming out today have a feature that enables them to go into bios without a CPU, but no AMD mobo that I know of have this feature yet.

Thread Starter
before i did this, i have the feeling that my cpu got burned out since the stock fan on AMD stock cooler melted and the FINS of the cooler is insanely hot. i only did that to test if my board will still power up and to my surprise all fans, leds, gpu, hdd and odd are still working.

This is only a "technical" warranty void though, it would require that you admit to the manufacturer that you did something crazy with your gear which resulted in burning something up for them to know it.
