Steelseries Sensei. need opinions. - Page 2

Having the same physical sensor or design doesn't really mean much. The basic EE design, firmware, and microcontroller is much different and that's only the tip of the changes.

What I'm getting at : While they may share the same name and look, they're far from the same mouse. For all you know the Sensei Raw could track much worse or even better than the established variant.

Good to know that. Thanks for information, Skylit.

Is Sensei heavier than G400?
No,
the G400 is 133g total or 118g without cable.
The Sensei is 102g (they don't say if that is with or without cable)

Had a sensei for 1day, didnt like it. The surface is not optimal, it has accel as far as i remember and its too expensive. get another DA, abyssus, spwan whatever flawless sensor mouse you can get is half the money and better.
Sensei has a lot of nice features, probably the next mouse will fix the little problems the sensei has and make it awesome, its not worth the money atm if you ask me.

G400 without cable is about 106g.

Sensei Raw is 90 grams but it all depends how it tracks than original Sensei.
Miner acceleration doesn't matter or noticed in game unless you are looking for it.
Whats wrong with Zowie AM? Its a good mouse (tracking shape) too as far as I read here. Except buttons are harder to click. Which is personal preference.

Are Senseis surface materials really slippery? As slippery as G400?

I was actually really worried about this but the surface is pretty nice. You have the sides which are the soft touch plastic so it's plenty grippy on the sides if you need it.

I have the Xai the only difference between that and the Sensei is the laser and the way you can customize the colours on the steel series logo. The xai has been great and I have no accel what so ever. I can imagine the sensei being the same if you actually configure it properly.

If you wanted to go for a cheaper buy then either get the sensei raw or the xai. I'd probably go with the rubberised sensei raw though cause of the faster laser and processor in the mouse.

Your Xai has accel and so does the Sensei. You can't "configure" the accel out of either mouse.
