No. I would not overclock a laptop due to its cooling environment. Due to laptops enclosures it heavily limits ariflow which leads to already hot or overheating components. Overclocking will only add to the heat which in the long run may cause serious damage.

this is not the smartest thing to do, laptops have poor cooling and it cannot be upgraded (correct me if i'm wrong)...........lol i cross posted after enterprise

Don't bother, The performance gain of 5 Mhz is not worth not having a laptop. Laptops don't need much processing power because they mainly used for Word and internet etc

Plus I think they have disabled overclocking in the bios, like buying a dell.

If the bios says no, then you can't do it.

no harm in trying mate, load up BIOS and see if you can, simple as!
Also check temps in BIOS, it should hopefully have sensors, if not don't bother, too risky!

I wonder if you could install sensors? hmm i guess you could, never see them advertised though!....sorry im blabbing!

no problem.

Just start up the laptop and try pressing del, if that doesnt work try F12 then F11 then F10 etc but you have to be fast because the boot screen at the start doesn't last long.

You have now entered BIOS (basic input output system) .
Post back if you can get that far or if you run into any problems like passworded etc.
