There aren't any reviews but it's seems like a good board. Get what you want though not what I want lol. I only want this over the Asus one because the name. I'm horrible haha.

I'd just go with a GTX 680 2Gb and save money for a second card down the road or a SSD. 4Gb cards are really just for 'hype' and haven't been proven to beat out 2gb cards in any case, even at 3x massive 2560x1600 resolution set ups.

Hmm so pretty much you are saying its a gimmick? I was under the impression more VRAM the better it performs at high res although my 5970 still handles ok but starts to show its age a bit.

If that's the case then yea the 2gb one would be good to I guess

I would be a little cautious with this....

There are situations where 4GB is superior to a 2GB solution, but those admittedly are few. In the case of anything at the 2560x1600 and lower resolution 2GB is usually enough.

Not to say that there won't be sometime in the future where 2gb isn't enough, but can you show one case where the 2gb is beaten by the 4gb version (not talking about hypothetical I'm talking about hard proof).

I don't see how people can make statements like this without ANY proof whatsoever.........

2GB is better for a single screen high res image whereas 4GB will give support for nvidia 3d surround and still make it very playable.
if you go 2GB go with one of these two:
MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr II
http://us.msi.com/product/vga/N680GTX-Twin-Frozr-2GD5-OC-.html
Gigabyte GTX 680 OC
http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4178#ov

If you want 4GB go with this:
EVGA GTX 680 4GB FTW

Go 4GB especially with upcoming games, BF3 eats through the VRAM even at 1080p thumb.gif

So is this a gaming machine or rendering?

If its a gaming machine, drop down the CPU/Mobo to a 3570K and an Asrock Extreme3/4/6 board. Upgrade your peripherals and possibly add a second GPU with the savings. thumb.gif

I shouldnt see a performance decrease from my current setup right? I want this to be an all around machine but mainly for gaming.

nah no performance decrease, but IMO I would just grab the GPU now and see if you have a CPU bottleneck, if you do (but you shouldn't) swap out for an i5-3570K. If you do not have a CPU bottleneck or notice, I would upgrade peripherals. If you want to go into multi-monitor gaming, Save up for a second GPU.
