The XSPC does cool the VRMs... just not actively by passing water directly over it like the other blocks.

The Kool Room (www.thekoolroom.com.au) has both the Aquacomputer Aquagra and Watercool Heatkiller blocks in stock as well;

Thanks both of you, that website looks pretty good. I did have a look at it earlier today while searching for alternatives, saw the aquacomputer block but decided that $130 +$18 shipping was going to be out of my budget... And then tonight i went and preordered this (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_878_880&products_id=20597) hahaha so i have no idea what i was thinking. Got that for $151 with express shipping but have to wait till the end of the month to get it frown.gif wish i hadn't been so quick to give PCCG my money but i think i will be pretty happy with my choice biggrin.gif

No active water cooling makes it a glorified gpu only block that can only be used on one pcb lol.

It cools the VRMs w/ acetal. That is an absolute awful idea. Can't imagine what XSPC was thinking when they started doing that. I had XSPC full cover blocks on my old HD6950s and was disappointed w/ them. Their new Raystorm design they added to their new full covers looks 11ty times better. No idea if they are out yet.

The EK HD7970 block on the other hand is a good block. Had no complaints about mine.
