Well done to both you and -Max- for getting that huge heatsink to fit inside, it looks like a tighter fit than what I have. Did you have to slide the rear top fan from the front in order to get it on top of the heatsink?

Thank you! biggrin.gif -Max- was the one who mounted the mobo/heatsink in the case and neat cabling management. I couldn't do it myself as my hands were shaking too much frown.gif.
Haha there was enough clearance between the D14 and the top so we slid the fan slowly and screwed it in from the top.

Is that the stock exhaust fan that came with the Prodigy? How much room is there between the NH-D14 and the exhaust fan?

The parts for my Prodigy build are in shipping and I ordered an NH-D14 as well so your build helps a lot in visualizing how much space is available biggrin.gif

Nope! the stock fans are all on the top. What you see over there at the back is BitFenix's 140mm Spectre Pro LED white haha. And surprisingly there's slightly enough clearance between the D14. Here's a picture in case you're wondering!

Thanks! I don't mind an m-ITX too much except for the limited ports/slots -- err not to mention it was quite tricky putting all the stuff together.

IVY is better. With Z77 you get PCI-E 3.0 etc. If u decide to go with Sandy boards, go with a Sandy chip. IVY has IHS heat problem might be little hard to overclock with just watercooling. Go extreme cooling it's not a bad clocker.thumb.gif

I bought the Hyper 212 Evo, but I read that it won't fit on that motherboard you are using (i got the same one) without damaging the backplate. Does the Noctua NH-D14 fit okay? Also, is it heavy and will the weight hurt the motherboard in any way? And finally, how loud is the Noctua NH-D14 (relative to other air coolers and maybe the Corsair H100 if you would know) ? Thanks!
