1200$ amd build

Thread Starter
Might be wrong section.

Build me a gaming pc for 1200 or less. The catch.. must include lcd, keyboard, and mouse. My only requirement is a razer naga.
I would eventually like to go multi monitor or even dual now and add the third later.

Lets see ur budget build skills. Rep to my top fav 3.

hello,
why the razor naga mouse?
i have a steel series kinzu and it dam good for £25.most people tell me its far to fast for them (3200dpi)
check the vrm count on that mobo,i think its a 4+2 and top of the range 99fx chipsets have 8+2.
i would say to change the build (which looks very good) to a 8120 and a sabretooth.that might equal the same price tag.
if you change your mouse to cheaper, you can grab a closed loop water cooler.

I doubt the 960T will come back in stock, but you can grab it at amazon($150)
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B0056D5AMY/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&condition=all

or grab a FX-6100($140) or a PII 955 x4($90)

If you are thinking about going triple monitor gaming, you will need to grab a second high end GPU if you want to play on maxed settings. Also, if you plan on getting multiple GPUs, you should be looking into an Intel setup.

I was thinking the same thing- until I looked and saw that he was including ~$400 worth of Monitor/Keyboard/peripherals in that $1200 budget. I think he is making the right choice going AMD with this one. $1200 budget for the box only and you are into Intel's price/performance bracket IMO. I like most of your build choices here rdr, I have a couple items on that list and I can highly recommend them for their value. If the OP wanted to shave it down a bit he could go with the $120 ASRock 990 Extreme . You can probably shave $30-$40 from the PSU budget too, and still have similar quality. Throw that $ towards getting a 7970. Another item I would change is the 60 GB SSD. Get a 120. The Mushkin Chrono 120 is on sale for $95 at Egg, with no MIR to hassle with.

I have been eyeballing this board for this fall myself when Piledriver arrives, and use this ASUS board/ 555CPU to build the wife a new rig.
