Help out a first time watercooler

Thread Starter
My only experience with watercooling is using a H70 which lets face it, isn't really installing a watercooling kit. I have a few questions!

My watercooling setup: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_45&products_id=20465 + 1 more RX120

What i want to cool:
- 2x EVGA GTX670 FTW's (EK Waterblocks)
- I7 3770K
- Asus Maximus V Formula (Has watercooling support on the mobo)

My main concern is weather or not the 1 pump in the watercooling setup i have will be enough to supply all this with cooling! Also what order should components be receiving cooling?

Res/Pump > RX360 > CPU > Mobo > RX120 > GTX670 > GTX670 > Res?

I prefer dual pumps for redundancy if for no other reason. Additionally, Ivy bridge gets hot when OC'ed. http://www.anandtech.com/show/5763/undervolting-and-overclocking-on-ivy-bridge

It will be enough, but you can mount 2 pumps. I just prefer two pumps.

That kit will work just fine for the most part but you would want two pumps if you really want to watercool your mobo. With modern motherboards there really isn't any point so I wouldn't bother to spend your money on it unless you really want the looks. But mobo blocks are fairly restrictive and you'd be having a pretty long loop so I'd go with two to be safe.

Of course, you'll also need more compression fittings for your gpu and mobo blocks and either PT Nuke or a kill coil to put in your loop to prevent bacteria growth. That and you'll probably want different tubing because not many people care for the quality of the XSPC kit tubing.

So basically you are working with 5 blocks here correct, 2 on mobo, one on cpu, two on gpus, I honestly would not be hesitant at all in putting two pumps in series to get the water through, that's quite a lot of stuff to get water moving through. Being though that its a D5 pump you *should* be ok.

Also, thats a really really good price on all that stuff.

Last question i promise! Are all D5 pumps the same? Swiftech/Koolance etc? Will i be able to add any of these to my setup? And will it matter that my res only holds one in it? Like i can just put another one somewhere else in the case? Want to make sure i get this right the first time around
