Sleeving my HX850; Couple of Questions

First, thanks again for the help! I ended up going with the titanium grey/black, and I like the color combination. I've finished up all my SATA data/power cables, internal cables (fans, USB front panel, etc.) and I'm moving on to the non-modular PSU cables.

I finished up the 8 pin power cable and I'm starting to look into tackling the 24-pin power and non-modular PCI-E cables. On the 24 pin, however, there are several connections which have more than one wire per pin. How do you recommend going about this? I looked into the guide on splicing, and wanted to know if it'd be electrically safe for me to just pull one of the wires from the pin and splice it in further down the wire (i.e. splice the two wires into one so that it is aesthetically nicer). Or would it be better to try and sleeve the two wires together?

Thanks!

Splicing further down is OK. If you're prepared to open it up and forgo the warranty you can splice it inside the PSU.

Edit: Another option to consider is making extensions for the fixed cables.

Great, thanks! I've already opened it up so I'm not too worried about that. I'm not certain I trust my soldering skills in that bit of limited spaceso I guess I'll need a bit more practice before I give it a go (because that does seem like the best option). My PSU is mounted in plain sight (Raven 02), so I think it'll aesthetically look the nicest if I just sleeve all the way from the PSU. I guess I'll just splice->heatshrink the splice->sleeve up to splice. Thanks!

Someone recently did an internal splice see post #7381

Thank you for the example. That's exactly what I was thinking.

I would just buy extensions and sleeve those. My PSU cables are not very visible, so I went with the option of extensions.
