Do you think a two month build log is too long?

In many cases you will still be able to request warranty/RMA service on used parts, as long as the warranty period is still active. Lots of manufacturers these days simply track the serial number, not ownership. I personally have not had any issues with buying from OCN. I did have one instance where USPS lost the CPU I was selling; I refunded the money and have learned to insure all my shipments ever since tongue.gif

I've never had a problem buying used stuff. In fact I can honestly say I have had new stuff fail more often than the used stuff. That is probably in part to buying more new than used, but it's still true. As with all things in life it's buyer beware. Especially when buying off of things like Craigslist and Kijiji. Like when a seller has a brand new in box 690 and only wants 700 bucks for it, then when you say you are interested tells you they work away from home all the time and you have send money to them through some obscure website... I didn't fall for it and nor should anyone else. On the same note research the product and see how reliable they are. Probably don't want to buy a used product that is prone to issues (although I don't know why you would ever buy something like that but hey!).

I would say buying off here is usually a pretty safe bet. Depending on what you buy, most of the stuff still keeps the manufaturers warranty, but some does not. Users will give you a good idea of what they used the item for (heavy stress testing vs light gaming) so you'll have a good idea of what to expect. Any users who can sell on OCN also have trader ratings, so you can see how other users who have done business with them rate them. I personally like to buy new when I can, but sometimes the savings on something used is too good to turn down. I would prefer to buy from OCN over eBay, however.
