G630 enough for gaming??

Thread Starter
Strict budget and was wondering if a GTX 560ti would be bottlenecked by a G630?

A little bit. If you can get an i3, it would help. It shouldn't be much more than 20-30 from that.

Looking at this chart it seems like the g630 will perform fine if you are planning on gaming around 1080p.

If the G630 is all you can afford, then don't worry about it. The low end sandy bridge cpus are great for budget gaming. If you can afford the i3 2100, I would recommend it, but you'll be fine with the pentium.

depends on the game.

the g850 performs the same as the I3 in lightly threaded games, and the 630 is only .2ghz slower.

Not quite. It's about $50 more expensive. I wouldn't go with a dual core nowadays for a new gaming rig, though. At least the i3 has the 2 extra threads.

Suppose i was thinking of the 620 pricing, which lands @ $50 on sale
