I stand by my original comments. Thank you for taking the time and energy to make such a detailed response, when I find the time that you seem to have I will be sure to read it.

Then you continue to stand by a comment that was/is completely wrong.

EA stated that they would not cheapen their intellectual property and then followed to LIKEN steams sales to going out of business sales. Also stated that the criteria for that sale was things like 75% off.

Which if you actually read this forum you would see that EA has done exactly everything they chastised STEAM for doing. So you point is completely moot.

/edited to remove any jabs.

Origin is jealous of steam. They cant handle steam or steams amazing sales. Origin sucks steam FTW

That interview with Valve was talking about the "%80 of all Relic games" type of deals where you buy 30 titles from "company here" for $50.0, not promotional deals on individual titles. I doubt we will ever see a "%80 off EA Titles" batch deal on Origin.

Sensationalism!

Hahahahaha. EA, what a joke.

Edit: The truth hurts, doesn't it, EA?

So you complain that they wouldn't match Steam on this and they were "fools". Now they seem to have listened to the community and are offering the same kind of sales. They are now "tools" as well as "fools" I guess.

Can't please some people. I ask those complaining non-stop to please tell me why you find this news so troubling? Would you rather have no competition at all? I'll treat Origin like I treat Steam. A Worthless POC DRM I don't want and will only buy a game when its $5 or under. My choice.

It's very simple.

Imagine your friend proclaimed that winter coats were stupid and unmanly and lame and he would never wear one.

Then as soon as the first winter storm hit he immediately pussied out and ran back inside and wore a coat.

You would be well within your rights to laugh at him, right?

Same principle here with Origin.

I agree with this. It seems like the context of the statements has been lost. I never thought from the previous interview that EA said they would never put titles on sale, only that these "super game bundles" that sell for 20% of the per-title individual amount would generally not happen (and it hasn't).

But at the same time, from a strict words perspective, all of this does paint them to be hypocrites.
