EVE is great, LOTRO is great.

Definitely give Eve Online a try! I never could get into hack and slash MMO’s, they seem to be way too repetitive. Eve has a ton of content, plus the majority of the fun comes when interacting with other players. I’m in faction warfare right now and it’s a blast. Out maneuvering and out smarting the enemy is a ton of fun and in pvp is unpredictable. It keeps you excited and on the edge of your seat as you just don’t know what will happen until it’s already done.

It’s hard to make money when you first start and have no idea what you want to do, it also makes it that much better when you get that nice shiny new ship that you really don’t want to lose yet risk all the time.

They have a 14 day trial and at least worth a try, I can send you an invite that will extend it another 21 days. If you are interested in joining eve send me a mail and maybe join our corp, we are always looking for new players to play with.

Another thing that I wanted to add about Eve. CCP is a great company and has been improving the game sense it first came out in 2003. They are constantly working on making it a better game with more content and better gameplay.I have NEVER needed to purchase any expansion pack or to get access to the new content that they are always adding. Everyone else locks you out of X area unless you give them Y amount of money for Z expansion pack, CCP does not do this, any and all content they add is available to everyone at all times, no $15 expansion packs.

You loved Aion too? I left for the same reason. My friends just stopped playing. Aion is free to play though. I just recently deleted it though lol. I would say Guild Wars 2 is your best bet. I've heard good things about Tera. But, it isn't free to play. I don't know if I like Tera. It reminds me of Monster Hunter the way it plays (combat) and I've heard people can solo everything if they gain enough personal skill
