I wonder if anyone had i7 3770 with stock cooler could tell me their temperature read as i no longer had the original hsf to test it out. I just wonder whats the average temperature for it at stock cooler as i forgotten what i the temp at last time. i wanted to compare it to my TX3 cooler. Im trying to cool down my case as i feel that the airflow is not good. >< currently at around 31~33C idle (after 7x reapplying, resitting, repositioning and readjusting the cooler =.="). appreciate it guys, perhaps ideas to improve my cpu case flow is more than welcome (No open case - i don't want dust).

I honestly love this cooler, but I think I'm gonna move on to another one soon, it just looks... A bit to bland compared to other flaming red (literally) coolers on the market.

Your idle temps matter 0% - what are your load temps at 100% after 20 minutes of something such as Prime95?

i ran for 15min under blend mode. CPU stays at 60~62C. I notice that my cpu doesnt go beyond 3.7ghz (from CPU-Z), is it normal? i thought it should go 3.9 when on load?
I google it up that i should use the small FFTs for best result? is it safe? i never used prime95 before.

It will only go to 3.9GHz on single threaded applications - your chip is able to do a soft overclock [raise the multi-max 4X which would give you a 4.3GHz single thread max] Small FFT's are fine, and yes it is safe. Generally stock coolers see 72 - 76c under max load.

thx for the info.. i guess my aftermarket cooler reduce 10C under load.

You mean if i raised the multi, the turbo boost goes up to 4.3? or it OC to 4.3 with turbo boost disabled?
