Getting sick of waiting for the Maximus V Formula and was thinking about going for the Sabertooth Z77 board instead.. I like how it looks.. but how does it perform when OCing?

It has really great features and the UEFI BIOS makes OCing easy as pie. Was able to get my proc to 4.4ghz @ 1.17v with no worries.

Just don't use intel's network software crap. I too was waiting for the new formula V but said screw it. Bought it over a month ago - no issues smile.gif

Only thing I was slightly worried about was the pci-e slots dropping to 8x if sli'd - might be a setting or something I have to change. Look in the Sabertooth owner's thread for more info. thumb.gif

It only has 16 PCI-E lanes, so that shouldn't come as a surprise. If you want x16 x16 you need a board with X79 (or X58) chipset.

So all Z77 Motherboards do this then?

Personally, it didn't affect my buying decision. I have a 680 and it will last me for quite sometime. Should I feel the need to upgrade...well, the card will be there when I need to smile.gif
