When using LET, I put eraser around the CPU socket, and I tape up the slots to prevent any from accidentally getting in there.

But like Bass said, it won't bridge any connections, so it shouldn't cause that much of a problem if you get it somewhere that you shouldn't.

i benched a z68x-ud4 and a 2600k 3 times with nothing on the board, just a piece of neoprene foam around the socket and neoprene around the pot and 2 38mm ultra kaze's blowing around the pot. 4+ hrs of benching and nothing happened... board and chip are daily machine now and are fine.

You sure it's not the chip? I blew one 960T already, using only 1.55v. Damn ref. clock fluctuations.

I was sure it wasn't the chip..got a like-new p7p55d-e Deluxe..all accessories and everything off of ebay ..Used eraser

ok..well..I got like..almost no
boints and killed the chip(1.96v) :

:..but I do believe the mobo will live to bench another day

eh probly killed the chip with voltage..It's 4 for 4 every time i hit the "ov cpu" switch.
no more of that

hmm look closely at the cpu chip. looks like it is damaged. that could be your problem right there.

Can LET Scully a motherboard?

All in all great cooler for the money and has always worked reliably. Excellent for a backup cooling system or for low-cost budget computers, while still being able to overclock.

I've used this headset extensively for MAG on PS3. The sounds were wonderful, the mic was crisp, and the ability to adjust peoples voice volume is absolutely invaluable. For $100 ( or less ) this...
