I would probably bite on the DDR400, but without some sort of refund policy I can't. I hate buying stuff only for it to be DOA. I ALWAYS test with memtest first thing. smile.gif

I would be willing to give a refund minus shipping costs (about $1). The 400 worked flawlessly when I removed it and it went straight into an anti-static bag.

I believe you. But if your ram gets damaged in shipping (it probably isn't worth insuring or dealing with the hassle) then I'd have no recourse. I believe you, and I think you know what you are doing but I don't know you either - why should I take the risk? I'm giving you cash, you're giving me a product that may or may not have value.

You've got to be willing to trust the buyer too. I'll drop it in a mobo I know has working RAM slots (I just tested some) if I buy it. If it was Corsair ram I wouldn't worry as much because they generally back their product for life, as do a few others.

I understand where you are coming from. On that note, I insure everything I ship (even $5 ram) to cover for potential loss or damage.

On top of that I have been in this community for over 2 years and have bought and sold many times here (hence my trader rep). I have tried to believe in new buyers in this community before, and have been burned both times. One told me they were sending a check in the mail (which I never received), and the other told me I sent him a mobo that was DOA (turned out to be user error - didn't put the ram in).

There is always a risk buying a used item, which is why my price is where it is, and I have offered to refund them minus the $1 shipping.
