First Intel Computer Build

Thread Starter
Sup guys! Well, I ordered my parts for my First PC build this morning. I am so excited to get the parts in from NewEgg. I have been waiting the better part of a year for this moment. Here are the specs.

Intel i5-3570k CPU
ASUS P8Z77-V LK MOBO
Zalman Z11 Case
Zalman CPU Heatsink
Corsair 8gb RAM
Corsair 600w PSU
Intel 330 Maple Crest 60gb Boot SSD
WesternDigital Caviar Black 1tb HDD
ASUS Cd/DVD Burner
Windows 7
2 Enermax SILENCE Blue LED 120mm Fans (little extra cooling) biggrin.gif

Now, before you say anything, I know I didn't list a GPU. That is because I am waiting for the GTX 660 to come out. I can live with Intel HD 4000 graphics for awhile (from what I hear, they really aren't all that bad)

I also have another quick question to tag onto this, I ordered an anti-static wrist strap since it is my first build and I want to be careful, but I don't know were I am supposed to attach the alligator clip since my case is completely paint coated. I know some of you think I am stupid for buying this, but it only cost me 4$ and I would rather be safe than sorry. Please help me? Also let me know what you think of my build. The parts are already on there way. Thanks!

Solid build there thumb.gif, GTX 660 is rumoured to come out in a few weeks, so probably not too long to wait

good build...only thing i change is the cpu cooler... i would just grab a CM Hyper 212.

I will rather get this motherboard instead...more phase power and heatsinks...also its 10 buxs cheaper
