Yeah, the term is rather politically incorrect these days.

He's just a jerk. And likes to waste money on stupid things.

Leave "John from Canada" alone!!

He and "Joe the Plumber" have every right to their place as a non existent entity for use in politics to gain favour over a certain group of individuals!!

Really though, what did you expect from a thinly veiled "cheat for BF3" website advertisement that even goes as far as to sympathise with those who have an itch to start cheating.

Doesn't help that Kotaku are Valve partners either...dat espionage!

Are you joking or do you mean it? I seriously can't tell anymore. I tried to Google up some proof of that but nothing came up headscratch.gif

I used to think we were both on the side of reason when we were talking about those unscientific AMD vs. Intel tests or that stupid Consumerist poll but since then I have been hella confused arrowheadsmiley.png

I was, but I wasn't smile.gif

Kotaku are "syndicated" on Steam. Valve publish Kotaku stories on Steam.

No more Kotaku on Steam, Please

Was just some food for thought in a thread where many see the article as not much more than advertising paid hack websites for a game many complain about hacking in, while sympathising with those who feel they have any right to hack.

Its obvious Kotaku truly wish to be good samaritans *sniff* (the poor souls), but they're not really helping the cause are they? Or does that depend on what cause they are trying to help? *transition from playful to serious stare*

Just some food for thought is all smile.gif

Kid's certainly got some entitlement issues. I lol'd at "John from Canada says he has been trying to quit using hacked cheats."

Like he's physically addicted. No, just feels self entitled and doesn't mind being a jerk to people he'll never meet in real life. Funny part is he's willing to pay so much for it. I'm glad my ego isn't so wrecked, and doesn't need so much stroking.

Way to go "John from Canada." Make your country proud. Yer a real winner!

People are under the impression hacking is all about griefing players. In reality some players can't even determine a aimbot from a player with good aim or a guy with a fast trigger finger from a modded controller. I've be accused of having both on mw3 but I don't use them and the reactions are just funny to listen to because they get themselves worked up it just makes me want to do it again. Now granted I'm not hacking but they assume I am so by default me being the kind of player that I am if someone losing isn't getting pissy I'm not playing good enough or not doing anything insane to pull off. So I try to hone skill I only shoot at 21% on Mw3 and I shoot semi autos like it's auto but that's the fun part knowing it amazes some and devastates others.

TL;DR Hacking is only fun is you give them a reaction nuff said

Edit: I used a fishing and mining bot in wow plenty of times for real life cash and in-game gold. Simply because I could and grinding is never fun, It was a unfair advantage and I was willing to destroy the fishing market if someone tried to undercut me. But in the long run people do look for short cuts and if you seek you will find it's up to you to use it.

Not that I could really follow your statement, but if you get joy out of pissing people off there is something wrong with you, cheating or not.

Let me.....elaborate for you.

If I'm playing ANY video game and you are getting pissed off because you can't kill me for some reason I will laugh at you when you rage and taunt you. It's amazing how pissy people get when they lose, Now to me that means I'm doing my job as a competitive player. I don't camp, I don't hack but when I'm on a good streak it's fun and it's even better if they assume I'm hacking or using a bot just shows how bad they are and they need an excuse for their defeat. If I'm playing that good for you to assume I'm using a hack i might as well give myself a pat on the back.

What I find equally disturbing are those that take the game too serious and yell at you/call you names because you made an error. I find this to be the case quite often in World of Warcraft... The communities are just horrible sometimes; so elitist.
