CPU Cooler for the i5-3570k

Thread Starter
Hello guys, im planning to build my first PC in the next month.
But I need to settle on a CPU Cooler that is price/performance friendly smile.gif

I want to OC my i5 to 4.5ghz.
Can u list me an apropriate cooler for this overclock?
Your budget would be nice to know. But for the price the hyper 212 is hard to beat. They are about 25-35 dollars. If your budget is bigger the thermaltake frio is 50 dollars and i have had good luck with it. Now if you want to spend 100 dollars a h100 enclosed liquid cooler.

Is 76ºC a safe temp ?
The Thermalright HR-02 Macho and True Spirt 140 are also great, quiet alternatives that perform better. I'd personally go for a Gelid Tranquillo, Xigmatek Gaia, or Enermax ETS-T40 T.B. Silence over the 212 Evo because I'm a big silence freak.

Budget would be nice to know, as there's always options like the Corsair H100 or an XSPC Raystorm kit!

No costum loops yet.
Im struggling to fit a mechanical keyboard + monitor + headset + audio card in a 1500€ budget.
So I need a performance/budget cooler for my i5 3570k, that will allow me to reach 4.2-4.5ghz
