I'm wondering is there a tool to enable to AMD-V and iommu feature of the cpu without the mainboard bios? I would like to know if is possible at all and if you can share the tool?

I must have missed soemthing.... Why not keep AMD-V always enabled?

When you read the article in my link you can see that AMD-V must be enabled in the bios and it's only available in the 890FX or 990FX chipsets. Even then there are many posts in the internet asking about this feature in the bios. Unfortunately I don't have such a mainboard and I want to find an alternative solution maybe cheaper solution to enable AMD-V in my cpu. Where can I enable it always?

Edit: In my Bios I've enable the switch "Secure Virtual Machine". Is this AMD-V and iommu? I don't have a 890FX or a 990FX chipset mainboard? But when I start my virtual machine it give me the message AMD-V needs to be enabled?

Your processor seems to support AMD-V, but I don't see support for iommu.

I looked at your user manual and on page 43 it states:

Secure Virtual Machine

This option appears only when you adopt AM2 CPU. When this option is set to [Enable], a VMM (Virtual Machine Architechture) can utilize the additional hardware capabilities provided by AMD-V.

so it seems it should support AMD-V on the motherboard, but I've had a lot of issues with ASRock in the past. Maybe check for a BIOS update.

I know my ASRock 970 Extreme3 had both AMD-V and IOMMU and even supported my ECC ubuffered dimms. Ecc options became visable after adding ECC ram. I had the FX-8120, so it supported more recent features. Maybe it has a newer version of AMD-V, although I don't see version numbers listed for it.

Maybe even try a clear CMOS to see if it clears out any stuck settings.

Also, I see your CPU has potential to be unlocked to 4-cores.

When I disable Virtual Secure Machine in my bios and start a virtual machine it give also the error message amd-v needs to be enabled but the error message is a bit bigger then when I enable Virtual Secure Machine. Hence I think it's working but not 100%. Maybe this is because my mainboard doesn't support IOMMU? When I enable virtual secure machine and start my virtual machine there is only a tiny box saying amd-v isn't enabled. The box also isn't interactive but it has a yellow color hence I think something is wrong. When I disable virtual secure machine it give me a big interactive box with a big error message and I need to click it?

All AMD motherboards should support AMD-V, once you turn it on in the BIOS.

AMD-Vi (IOMMU) on the other hand, is a feature that only some motherboards support. It is BIOS dependent so only when the BIOS supports it where you can use it. AFAIK most motherboard manufacturers chose not to support AMD-Vi. You do NOT need AMD-Vi to enable hardware acceleration in virtualization.

That seems to be hard to make available with a tool? Maybe a bios mod? Any chance I can get IOMMU support for my chipset nforce 630?

Prerequisite for IOMMU is chipset support and BIOS support. Chipsets that support IOMMU are 890FX and 900 series chipset, no other chipsets support it. No hack what so ever. That Nvidia SLI hack you mentioned is done on software level, where it bypass Nvidia's limitation on what motherboard can use SLI. IOMMU is limited on hardware level.

To be clear, IOMMU is only needed when you need dedicated control of a hardware. Example you want to do 3D game on Linux, so you use IOMMU on GPU so that you can install Nvidia/AMD Linux driver to game.
