Wouldn't this be limited by the bus? I mean can one connection keep up with the transfer rate of 4 680's?

that would be a Memory Bandwidth of 769.2Gb/s if the ref model is 192.3Gb/s....

I know we could never tap into the pci-e 2.0 fully but dam this is over board........

calling this fake due to my brain being fryed and being up at 5:45am.
Only way I can see them do this is dual-PCB card, like first 295's. Or a really long single-PCB card that would not fit most cases...

I thought SLI scaling with four cards wasn't even that great. If that's the case, what's the point in this?

If they are doing all of this on a single PCB I would be amazed...

They will most likely do a dual PCB design of the 690 or something. I can't wait to see another Dual-PCB card like the GTX-295, 9800GX2, and 7950GX2 smile.gif it will bring back some memories.

The 7970 need a pci e 2.0 x16 slot minimum or you lose performance. We are getting close.

Meh, waiting for Maxwell GPU to replace my venerable Fermi. This quad GPU is stretching it a bit too far, nevermind the driver problems and game support issues that happens with SLI on dual GPUs, let alone 4 of them.
