all in all, looking forward to the next installment.

They killed that about 5 years ago in RE4.

Since we're dealing with EA,I won't be giving this game a benefit of a doubt, too late for that...
What I've seen in the demo looks like crap for Dead Space franchise standards, and honestly,I expect a flop...
It's a PC...

yo dawg i hear you like pop than fear
so i put pop into pop space making all monster pop instead being feared
and helping pop with multi pop player making the pop become more awesome

no more fear being alone
you got someone with you now, poping in same place

what a pop

even metro with some AI more scary than this pop

I found Dead Space 1 scary, the second one...not at all actually. The game looks interesting, the scenery is a nice refresh and looks varied. Now, as far as horror goes, the last one that got it right was Amnesia and Penumbra. They've forgotten what the term horror means, confused it with the word "unexpected scare".

True horror comes from small rooms, with minimal resources, knowing that something is out there, able to kill you without a hitch, which will make you go to the last point YOU saved. (Yeah, remember that?) Save points play a huge role. Restart from checkpoint ruins the horror genre. Look at the early Silent Hill games or Resident Evil games. No "retry". Sure, it will be much more annoying to make a simple, but it gives you the thrill that you are actually fighting for something, not that you can just go and try whatever comes to mind with no serious implications.

And yeah squishysquishy, I definitely agree. As I mentioned, scarce ammo and health (Definitely no regen, at least Dead Space keeps that true) is another crucial factor of a true horror game.

AngeloG.

I am with you buddy. I always play them through on zelot then hardcore (which i think you need to unlock). that usually forces weapon discipline but there is alot of wide open space, but that is mostly for consoles since they cant react as quickly as PC gamers can/been trained to.
