You're right honestly. I guess I went overboard, I was pretty POed about the price. The lightning isn't all that cheap either apparently.

Also, some people are reporting some impressive overclocks with the 680 classified. So i'll lay off on the hate train wink.gif Looks like a great card.

Apparently, EV Bot only works on EVGA motherboards. Or, rather, you can't flash the proper firmware without an EVGA board. mad.gif

Hope that's not the case, if so, looks like i'll be passing this up.

Ok that's awful.

Disregard what I said earlier. Kind of surprised EVGA would pull t his kind of move. Seems greedy and short-sighted to me.

Is that really the case? If so it's awful.

I hope this has a sandia cooler for that price

Come on, let us buy more than one of them if they go up. I want to buy 3. Unfortunately I can't fit 4 on my motherboard without ditching my sound card & NIC. Otherwise, I'd totally buy 4.

Why would you even bother. Asus motherboard, no option for voltage manipulation.

Unless you want to buy an EVGA mobo as well for EV bot rolleyes.gif

Dangit, really? I thought that when I read over their EVBot page it said that no drivers were required, so I could just plug and go. I'll wait for official confirmation/deny on this one.

Given the way the Classy seems to be going, I'd rather have a 4GB Lightning 680 if they came out soon. Or, I could be proven wrong about the EVBot.
