How come this game doesn't support DirectX 11 considering how high the graphics demands are?

Look at the Witcher 2 and Crysis. They are not DX11, but they are demanding.

They will be using dx11 capabilities, that is from the Dev's themselves.

Considering it's a Cryengine 3 game, I'd assume that they'd get DX11 at some point.

Nice to see the requirements are not as aggressive. I can't wait to run this game on my system. Miss the days of MW2 and Mercenaries. thumb.gif

I dont know about this game its going to follow the world of tanks F2P from what i have read. I have a guild mate who played the alpha and said the mechs are slow and kind of clunky. I will try it but hawken seems more fast paced action.

I am assuming it to be a typo. I am sure they meant 2100 considering the AMD equivalent is an x4 650

Unless I am mistaken there is no i3-2500...and no one would put an i5-2500 and an x4 650 at the same level; even if some how the software was greatly optimized to run on AMD.

Though I have to say...I am not sure I like that they are working hard to lower the minimum specs. Hopefully that will mean it will run better on higher end hardware as well, but usually the focus is opposite I think. Get it running better on high end and by default it runs better on the low end. By working on the low end it makes it sound like they would be cutting features rather than optimizing performance, Really probably a case of "tomato-tomato", but I would have liked to read that they were working on optimizing the game instead.

And hell...it's MechWarrior. It could come out looking like Minecraft and people would play it. I know I would.

That might be a feature...they are supposed to be 100+ ton mechs you know. They probably aren't meant to handle like a sports car. The mechs in most other games were fairly clunky too unless you ran around in the power armor that had like one laser, but was really fast.

Though I can see it getting sped up a bit from the old days. Not many will like a shooting style game in which you can't run at high speeds and spray bullets these days.

Between this and Hawken, it looks like Mech combat is gonna be heavy in my future.

This one I'm especially looking forward to though because Mechwarrior 2 was the first game that really pulled me into the PC scene. Plus, with my setup, this thing should run like a dream and look damn good while doing it.
