Gigabyte Windforce GTX 580 - VRAM / VRM heatsink

I'm interested in jumping onto the Antec/Corsair cooler bandwagon for my Gigabyte GTX 580, but stuck at the moment, trying to figure out the best solution for cooling other relevant parts, aside from the actual GPU chip.

Here is my video card without the Gigabyte Windforce top panel:

Do I need to get some of those sticky Zalman heatsinks, or is there a better solution? I sort of wish I had a reference card for this to have a pre-installed heatsink there...

(I am new to this, so I apologize if my questions are in the obvious category. Thank you.)

P.S.: could anyone point out where the VRM / mosfets are located on this card? I'll probably go with some stick-on heatsinks.

Its OK for the VRM cooling. However, I'd add a few heatsinks in these places:
Go to the top of the card in the picture. Above the Chokes with the label on them "R125" Just left of the chokes at the top of the card are 4 additional VRM's. You want to slap a heatsink on those.

I'd get the Dwood bracket and have a fan blowing on the VRM. The 580's VRM's get quite hot and it's a good idea to keep air flowing around those.


That stock heatsink looks SAWEET!

Ok, thank you, so I can keep everything as is and just add some additional heatsinks to the left of the aluminum looking thing, such as these?

Would those fit under dwood's bracket if I add a fan to it?

I'm guessing the aluminum-looking thing is a heatsink in itself, but I cannot look at it right now, as that computer is in use.

P.S.: now I'm wondering about all those VRMs around the GPU chip (top and left) - they won't get cooled unless I install a fan into the case side door, I guess... I'd have to add heatsinks to them at the minimum, right? I guess I'll need 12 of those little heatsinks for all the VRMs.
