any suggestions for nVidia cards
Sure there are a number of great options. nVidia cards tend to cost a little bit more but will usually run about 5-10% faster than the AMD direct competitor out of the box. Though many people swear by the fact that AMD can be more heavily overclocked to help close the gap. Anyway so I put together a list of AMD and nVidia cards. Paired up with there competition so you get some idea of the price gap.

HD 7850 and GTX 660
Asus Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card (€200.99 @ Amazon Deutchland)
Asus GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card (€224.85 @ Amazon Deutchland)

HD 7870 and GTX 660Ti
PowerColor Radeon HD 7870 2GB Video Card (€273.81 @ Amazon Deutchland)
Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card (€288.98 @ Amazon Deutchland)

HD 7950 and GTX 670
XFX Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card (€391.84 @ Amazon Deutchland)
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card (€355.95 @ Amazon Deutchland)

HD 7970 and GTX 680
MSI Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card (€457.03 @ Amazon Deutchland)
EVGA GeForce GTX 680 2GB Video Card (€484.04 @ Amazon Deutchland)

It must be said that the video card options on PCpartpicker Germany are terrible, truly atrocious. If you look around locally you should be able to find more options on cards. Generally speaking anything made by Asus, Gigabyte, EVGA and MSI will be solid and perform very well.
