True Spirit 140 on a Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H motherboard

Hi,

I'm building a system with a UD5H. Searching multiple forums and google didn't turn up anything on my exact setup and from pictures I've seen of the TS140 on other motherboards, it looks like it could interfere with RAM slots. I'm curious if anyone has tried a True Spirit 140 with the UD5H. Does it block any RAM slots from being used? Or are all slots useable but the cooler would need to be removed to fiddle with a RAM slot closest to the CPU? I'm going to be using Mushkin enhanced blackline in all 4 slots which doesn't have a huge heatsink to try make it easier to fit. Would the cooler interfere with any PCIE slots( x1 or x16)?

I want a quiet quiet system when idling or doing non-taxing tasks, so I am planning on only modest overclocks with a 3770K; probably in the 4.1 - 4.5 range depending on how hot it gets. I'm hoping a larger cooler like the TS140 would let me balance noise and heat.

I also contemplate droping down to a TS120 since I think that will fit easily and probably still do decent.

Thanks.

try to get a low profile ram, like the samsung 30nm.

I'm wondering the same thing.

I ended up getting a Hyper 212+ which is similar in size to the smaller True Spirt 120 I believe and it BARELY fit without blocking a ram slot. I actually filed a small portion of the edge of the fan near the RAM to get a tiny amount of visible space between the fan and RAM. The Mushkin RAM I got has a pretty small heat spreader, nothing huge. If you had low profile RAM things might work better, but there was no low profile available in 8GB sticks. So I believe the answer is almost certainly no with all RAM slots used.

My TS140 fits perfectly with the closest RAM slot of the CPU being used.
