OK I remember that, he was just saying that tess disabled AMD won't make any difference when a 680 can beat it anyway even if tess is enabled. Things at the bot will still stay the same though.
I can't wait to try a 680 lightning!

ahh i see.

yeah im excited about the lightning. i REALLY shouldnt have bought it, i did it very impulsively.

for those of you wondering about unlocked voltages... here you go.. check out the OC section of this review over at guru3d
http://www.guru3d.com/article/msi-geforce-gtx-680-lightning-review/25

its a wayy better review than the TPU review

EDIT: sry if weve (i've) hijacked this tread into a 680 lightning thread

One of the best tools for overclocking NVIDIA and ATI videocards is our own AfterBurner which will work with 90% of the graphics cards out there. We can really recommend it, download here.
And this:
Review done by Hilbert Hagedoorn Edited by George Panayiotou
And seeing no 7970 OC results.

lol none of that stuff was/is important to me personally.. i only was paying attention to subjective information being presented, not opinion or bias. I referred to it as a reference for those who werent sure if the lightning card had voltage control. other than that i just made a comment that the review was more informative (with respect to OC and voltages) than the techpowerup review

the answer to that should be obvious to any business man out to get more scratch: you release the "unlocked editions" after you sell a million "superclocked editions". almost twice the amount of money for the same product essentially rolleyes.gif (not literally but you know what i mean)

LN2 records don't impress me anymore. LN2 overclocking is getting old. I'm tired of reading "OMG HAXOR HITS 1.9 ghz WItH PURE SKILLS," OH, wait. This is just some more barely stable LN2 suicide runs.

We need something ground breaking on water or air, like a Golden Messiah Chip. Then we can call that news. Or maybe even a phase change setup for the GPU. Something that runs 2.0ghz on the 24/7 would be sick.

the computer enthusiast looking for max overclocks on a water setup has a completely different hobby than the enthusiast who likes to see/find/exploit the full potential of hardware using subzero cooling.
