Good games for lan?

Ok so summer's ahead and me and my brother are pretty bored often and wonder around on internet, searching for games to get but can't find any...so now i'm asking you guys to give me some suggestions about games which are "fun" playing on lan, something challenging, good storyline...you know what i mean?

Games we've played and liked:

- Resident evil 5
- Age of empires 3
- Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction

I can't think of more but lets see some suggestions smile.gif

One of the first games that I played at a LAN party was SWAT 4 and even to this day we still pick it up and play it from time to time. Other than that I have played Neverwinter Nights 1 for a more rpg and story driven game, though in multiplayer the game is fairly difficult with solely 2 players if you guys aren't in sync well. Company of Heroes is an excellent game to play in skirmish, but I don't believe it has LAN capabilities anymore. Dawn of War is also an excellent RTS in the same breath of company of heroes but less on realism and a ton of widely different factions to play as.

swat 4 is only shoot em up type of game no? dawn of war is like red alert 2/3 which i've played along with supreme commander 1/2 and civilization i have but i don't like it "turn-based"

I've heard Dungeon Defenders is fun. Also, can't go wrong with any Valve game. I believe the Synergy mod allows you to do multiplayer on their singleplayer games.

Oh and Borderlands. Much more fun with friends.

I downloaloded titan quest but didn't like it as much as diablo 2, dunno why...battle realms doesn't look that interesting...dead island, have you played it? is it worth playing on lan? because FPS games just limit the view and it's not that much fun unless it's an FPS
