anyways, if RAM is what I need to replace can you maybe suggest what I should get?

Memtest stresses memory only, nothing operating system related. The only other theoretical causes of errors in Memtest are: incorrect DRAM timings and voltages, incorrect DIMM installation (RAM is in the wrong slots), stuff like that.

As far as what memory to get goes, I don't personally know, that's something to ask in the memory forums. Just make sure whatever RAM you do invest in is compatible with your current board.

alright, I just got home from school and checked the memtest86..... and I'm pretty sure it was a bad result... lol

It ran for 9 hours, says all 16GB;s were cached and there were 1372 errors... I guess that means I am in the market for new RAM huh?

Thanks for everything. One last question though, how much of a risk am I running with my memory like this? I mean I won't have the money to buy new RAM until my next pay check. Is this problem going to permanently damage my system or something? or is it okay for it to say the way it is for a little bit?

The most that will happen is with all of the BSODs, OS corruption could occur, and you'd have a chance at losing all data since you did not have a chance to back up when you wanted. You'd then have to reformat if a repair is not an option. No actual system damage would occur.

LOL xD "No actual system damage would occur".

@OP is the warranty still valid?

Yeah, unless you want new memory for some reason, your goal should be to contact G.SKILL and open up an RMA ticket.

No, I don't think so, unless G.Skills warranty is over a year... I built my system just over a year ago last month (may).

Actually it says on newegg that the warranty is a lifetime warranty... This would be a legitimate reason to get a new product/ refund wouldn't it?

Lifetime warranty doesn't cover refunds, just the guaranteed replacement or repair of the product, I believe. I would just RMA your current RAM, no need to go out and buy new RAM, unless you really want to.
