At this point I think they should put all electronics related patents in a new class of patent that doesn't last more than five years. The way this industry moves having a patent on something for 20 years is equivalent to holding the patent forever (by the time the patent runs out it's irrelevant to modern technology, or it's so broad and vague that it should never have been issued in the first place).

Meh, Apple has something around $100 Billion in cash reserves, they don't care that they will have to pay out in the millions. They will just continue to do what they do and pull in more money off their products than any court will ever have to make them pay. It will just go down as overhead and part of their cost to do business the way they do....
