NZXT Sentry LXE Problem =/

Guys I need some help,

I've got the NZXT Sentry LXE fan controller, but I can't actually controll the fans with it. I change the RPM, nothing happens, only if I put it all the way down, then the fan turns off. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?
All the fans are connected via 3pin to the circuit board of the controller.

Help would be much appreciated smile.gif

Are they all the same fans? I used to have a controller that seemed busted out of the box but it was just the fans, they only seemed to be able to be on or off. Changed the fans for some better ones and it worked just fine.

I was able to control rpm's on my fans thanks to another controller capable of 15W per channel.

Reading the specs in NZXT's web page I understand that, in manual mode, the Sentry LXE is sending 4W minimum per channel?

Fan Adjustment Range 3.7V to 12V
Fan Channel 5
Max watt per channel 10W
Temperature Module Channel 5
Temperature Range 0 ~ 99℃ / 32 ~ 199.9℉
Measurement Frequency Every 2 Seconds
Temperature Alarm Range 30℃ to 90℃
(AUTO) Min 50%, Under 0-25℃,fan RPM 50%
(MANUAL) Min 40%
Screen Size 5.27 inches
External Cable Length 6.8 feet

My fans are:

2x Gentle Typhoons D1225C12B4AP-14
2x NZXT FR 200RB (4.08W input power)
1x NZXT FN 140RB (2.88W input power)

Is minimum wattage per channel the problem with this controller?

HF Venom,

After some testing, I was finally able to control speed. You just have to wait for the controller to decelerate fans.

It is true that, whatever you do on the controller, fans start spining at 100%, but after a while they get to the rpm's you want (more or less biggrin.gif).
Just leave rpm's blinking after adjusting, and you will see them spining down.

Hope it helps! thumb.gif

interesting, although I think I tried that... but I'll give it another go, see what happens. Overall I have to say that I'm pretty unhappy with this fan controller, sure it looks nice and all with it's big touch screen but for that kind of money I want a product that works flawlessly. Or maybe I'm just stupid...? biggrin.gif
