2700k temps

I got my 2700k clocked at 4.2ghz just for basic internet use and I also have Core Temp running on my desk top and I glanced at it and noticed 2 cores were almost 10* different in temperature. I'm using a Corsair H100.

I am not sure if this is due to it not seated properly of if it's off to one side more than another or what but I don't think cores having this big of a difference is normal.

Sorry, just messing with ya. Anyway, I believe it's pretty normal. Core 1 is pretty much idle, while core 4 seems to be doing a heavier duty task, so it's evidently hotter. smile.gif

Next time you see this, take the Task Manager besides it and go to the Processes tab. Compare how busy each core is together with how warm it is in Core Temp. smile.gif

I got it for $67 tongue.gif
Uncle is a programming engineer at intel so after the employee discount and it was a gift for my birthday and they put up the first $75 I just paid the remainder and shipping. But still a $320 chip for $67?

But next time I will run the Task Manager and compare, thank you smile.gif
