i would go for a single 7950. you can get one as cheap as $340 from newegg and it will be a noticeable upgrade over your 6950, as seen here: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/510?vs=550

Are you seriously in need of an upgrade . Because I have a XFX HD 6950 2GB and I am really enjoying playing all the latest games maxed out at 1080p. I am currently playing Max payne 3 maxed out with FXAA at 60 fps. I have played a lot of games like BF3, COD MW3, Rage , Deus Ex, Alan Wake, Batman Arkham city (DX 9 version). Other than BF3 which I ran at Ultra 2x MSAA every other game was maxed out. So stick with your card. Go for an upgrade when the HD 8000 cards launch. They will be a big improvment perf wise and prices will be much better.

Either another 6950 or replace the existing 6950 with a 7970, I'd say.
Or, since you're writing this in the NVIDIA subforum, a 680. smile.gif
