Hence someone PM me earlier about this EVGA backplate & heatkiller compatibility, I feel like it's the best interest for others to know that it's not if you gonna be using a 4 GB version of the card. I was really very upset when I first found this out. I've ordered the Heatkiller & the EVGA backplate then when I bought the EVGA GTX 680 4 GB a week later I got this incompatibility problem with the card. The 4 GB version of the card is about the same lenght as the reference version but the the card screw holes somewhat slightly different in placement. You can't put a full water block in it cuz there's multiple capacitors about an inch close to the GPU making it impossible to put a regular 680 water block. You probably still can use the EVGA backplate with the card but the EVGA 4 GB card already comes with its own backplate slight different than the one that you can buy.
I end up buying an EVGA GTX 680 SC 2 GB card after I returned the 4 GB card. My time's wasted because of this. I was thinking of buying a GTX 670 4 GB instead but Tigerdirect doesn't have. If you're really into getting a 680 4 GB card, the best bet is to look into the Zotac card. Looks like you can put a full water block on it but I'm not really 100% sure cuz I only saw one side picture of it.
