ASUS Rampage IV Extreme + 3930k Offset overclocking help!

Hey OCN,

I've recently discovered Offset overclocking through Raja@ASUS guide. Now I can get a stable 4.5 GHz with a VCore load of 1.392 with an offset of + 0.05, with load temps of mid 60's. I don't know if its worth overclocking to 4.8 - 5GHz. If someone has an input that would be good. I think 1.392 is a little high for 4.5GHz but I'm not too sure.

Temps after 12 hours of Prime95.

70c / 66c / 64c / 64c / 65c / 66c

I think that's alright for 100% load after 12 hours of Prime95 @ 4.5GHz.

If I overclock it to 4.8GHz or 5 GHz I don't know how offset really works. I don't REALLY understand how to increase the VCore to get it at a stable 4.8GHz. Do I just keep adjusting the Offset +0.05 each time until I get it stable OR is there more settings I have to change for that.

My specs are down in the "My Rig" field.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

I'm not too sure. I'm searching around the forums now for similar voltages.

I am running 4.6ghz@1.30v using manually not offset , you can try it if you want every chips is different , you can try to push 4.8ghz use 1.32-1.35v see if gets bsod while running prime
