A new edition of Final Fantasy 7 could finally be released on Steam, a leaked product description suggests.

Even though I own 3 other copies of FF7, I would buy this in a heartbeat.

Very excited about this, hopefully they have a new control scheme also. The numpad method was atrocious.

I've never played FF7. This may be the push I need.

FF7 was my first game for the ps1 when I bought it way back when. Beat it at least 10 times on that copy. Bought it for the PSP on the first day it was available, beat the game another 10x with that copy...I will be purchasing this one too! Will be interesting playing the game with achievements. I would like to know how well (or bad) this game will play on modern PCs. One concern I have is that it seems that the older games that are available on Steam have graphic issues on my computer. I have heavy graphic distortion from games like Doom 1 & 2 that I bought on Steam.

I would pay $100 for a remake of FF7. Keep it the exact same and just update the graphics. It would be amazing.

It would be the same exact game but with graphics that are still topped by Advent Children. frown.gif

Not really worth it IMO, especially when the original is so accessible (and that's before a Steam release). I'd rather see those resources go into making new games in a timely fashion (*cough*Versus XIII*cough*).
