My Z-2300 died and Logitech are offering me a Z623 as a replacement

Firstly, great support from logitech. Contacted them yesterday via ticket request, they got back to me 30 minutes later, and today i got an email saying my new speakers have shipped and will be with me in 48 hours.

They didnt even want to pick up the old system! So props to them for that.

My issue however, is their newer z623 is supposed to be a stripped down cheaper version of the Z-2300, so i am going to sell it (Any UKers interested in the Z623, will be selling it for around £80 or so in the market place soon, hit me up)

Anyway, i am now in the market for a 2.1 speaker system! I am looking to spend around 100 pounds. I have no idea about speakers, i was very happy with my Z-2300 till they died however.

I use my speakers mainly for music i would say. I am going to order an Asus Xonar Xense with a PC-350 so most of the gaming will be done on that. if i had to put a percentage on it id say 70% music and 30% gaming.

My music tastes varie a lot, but i like a bit of bass!

Sites which are good for me are:
www.overclockers.co.uk
www.scan.co.uk
www.ebuyer.com
www.amazon.co.uk <- preferred
So shoot! Cheers

Im dreading the day my Z-2300's die. I've already had to cut the input wire off once and splice it because it was shorting out. If they die though, Im going to replace them with a Receiver and theater speakers so I guess it's not all bad. smile.gif

From what I've seen the Z623 is close to the 2300's but the sub is apparently inferior. Give them a test drive and see if you like them, unless you plan to sell NIB.

The issue with mine was that one speaker was louder than the other, but once you turn the volume past around 50% it levels out somewhat. I tried loads of fixes on-line but none stuck.

I'd rather not open the new ones, higher sell value etc.

Rather than spend £100 on something mediocre, I'd say it's a better idea to save it and purchase a sound system that you will thoroughly enjoy. smile.gif

In The UK : NAD 3020 classic amp off Gumtree for like 20-50 quid, entry level gems like JPW Monitors and an 8-10" sub?
Also saw a Yammy AVR for 40 quid yesterday
