I had one of those GDDR4 cards. Performance benefits over GDDR3 where almost none..

yeah at first i didnt belive it until i had my first GDDR5 Card now GDDR6 im just amazed right, has nividia done anything to help bring them to GDDR6 or is it soloy AMD?

There actually was a standard, however I'm not sure why it wasn't mass produced. I guess it was simply replaced by v5
