That's not the reason at ALL.

It's just to make it imossible for gold sellers to buy multiple copies and trae in the 72 before their ban

Lol a couple times I felt like I should buy it but then every 2 days I see another article that reminds me why I'm not going to.
It has nothing to do with having to wait to play the game after paying for it, it has nothing to do with how spotty their servers have been and it doesn't even have to do with the fact that you have to be online to play single player.
It has to do with the fact that I feel like I personally helped propel Diablo and Diablo 2 to the popularity it achieved and then them (blizzard/activi$ion) deciding to spit in my face and change everything to benefit themselves only. If money is so important to them that they will make a good thing a hassle and a chore as reassurance that they get paid then I will keep mine and teach them that lost sales come from greed and ignorance.

It makes sense towards spammers and such. I doubt they would base it on some loser who played this horrible excuse for a game for 72 hours and died.

If they were actually smart, they'd turn chat off for starter accounts and guest passes. Not sure if they did that yet.

if i had to guess, Retail Sales of D3 dropped and the re sellers aren't happy....

Blizzard is constantly giving me more reasons why to never buy games from them again.
They are pretty good at it.
