Agreed.

Other thought: Wouldn't want to be the poor PSU/fan/front-panel cable that gets caught in that thing.

WEll they are saying the Sandia cooler is 2000 rpm, but at once point in a video i saw, it said several thousand RPM's

That makes me think 7k rpms and higher

but I dont think that is correct, the term Several annoys me lol

Dr Baltazar I think your Translator program got you this time, not enirely sure what you mean but I got the gyst of it

If you go trough the article at 2000 rpm it looks like it would get trashed by 10 year old bargain bin heatsinks, it looks like it hits a sweet spot at around 4000 rpm, but it still would not out perform the CM 212(or similar) and that would be its biggest competition for low price high performance air cooling.

i think people are forgetting, that this isnt meant to take out Large tower Coolers

this is meant for Low Profile cooling

And I believe they are trying to implement this on everything but the personal Computer =(

One of the videos, they mentioned this to Cool LED Lights in Cars Headlights.. That doesnt make a lick of sense to me.

Looks like the same technology as the graphics cards fan. Just full metal. And instead of it directing air to a heat sink it act as a heat sink instead..
They should make a base plate and fill it with the gas in heat pipes and have the cooler attached to it, instead of just using air. Even if the effect mentioned IS true, a more heat conductive gas would increase its effects?
