Rio: The Rio would be considered an entry level Windows Phone featuring a 4" WVGA display, 5mp camera with 720p video capture, 512mb on board memory, 14.4Mbps HSPA and a Qualcomm MSM8227 processor.

Accord: Stepping up from the Rio will be the Accord that features a 4.3" 720p Super LCD 2 screen, an 8mp camera with 1080p video capture, NFC support, 1gb of RAM, dual-core processor and 42Mbps HSPA+.

Zenith: The Zenith will be the upper end model featuring a 4.7" 720p Super LCD 2 screen, 8mp camera with 1080p video capture, 42Mbps HSPA+, and a quad-core Qualcomm processor.

Zenith is defiantly my next upgrade!

Finnaly, quad core windows phone, as for LCD 2, can't wait for what that is. To be honest I'm fine with my One X.

Now I can't decide whether I should wait for Zenith or get the SGS3.

Well, I guess all Windows Phone really needed to generate excitement was new hardware... surprising amount of enthusiasm over at the Verge.

Why would you need a quadcore Windows Phone? I mean look at WP7 and how well it is optimized to the one core CPU. As long as WP8 is just as optimized i just don't see the need. Unless there is some other elements I fail to see?

The only reason I can think is "true" multitasking. Currently, multitasking is limited to tombstoning, i.e., only one app runs exclusively in the foreground while all other open apps "sleep".

Now, this opens up another problem (that has adversely affected some Android phones): battery life. I'm thinking in an effort to keep the good battery life current Mango phones afford, Microsoft will still optimize or limit multitasking in such a way that as little battery is wasted in the background as possible.

Another reason would be for multi-core applications (most likely games).

LCD 2 is the same tech the One X uses. In the case of the Zenith its probably the exact same screen.

me i just wish ms had lowered the time between switching active ,like now its probably 400 ms!i wish ms had lowered this delay to 80 ms!it would have been perfect!this way we wouldnt have needed 2 core !i would rater have batery life and more speed on one cpu!once we reach 5 gigahertz then they can think of adding more cpu
